Stop at nothing

We have been motivated as a team since we walked off the field at Kimbrough after that loss to Muleshoe last year (in bidistrict, 34-20).

As soon as we lost that game we were in the locker room and everybody’s heads were down. I looked around and saw all we had coming back. I told everybody that team we just played is going to win state.

And they did.

I was so mad because I knew we should hav beat them. But at the same time looking around the locker room I knew it was our turn. Every day since that loss, even over Christmas break and during the summer, the majority of the team gets up at 6:30 in the morning and lifts weights.

We all put tape our fingers (like a ring) every day to remind us if we don’t work hard that ring is not going to be there in the end.

We have aren’t satisfied what we have done so far. And we aren’t going to be.

We are looking to play the best and beat the best. We try to get better every day. We have played good teams so far, but we wish we could have scheduled better teams. Like we really want to play Amarillo High and Tascosa to show we can play with those guys.
